Tachograph Calibration
MK Truck Repairs are aware how essential the haulage industry is to the economy but also the strict regulations that operators must meet to be on the UK roads. We have invested in highly trained staff and investment in the latest technology so our customer’s vehicles are maintained to VOSA approved standards. Our range of services includes digital and analogue repair services and calibration:
- Digital and analogue tachographs calibrated
- Tachograph repairs carried out
- New tachograph heads supplied and installed
- Gearbox seals replaced
- Speed limiters checked
Typically goods vehicles with a maximum permissible weight over 3.5 tonnes are required to be fitted with tachograph recording equipment. This rule also applies to minibuses/buses/coaches with more than 8 passenger seats.
Vehicle Inspections
Government regulations require all vehicles from 7.5 tonne GVW, and minibuses to be regularly inspected. Our trained technicians will carry out a full VOSA standard inspection and inform you of any defects that require attention. These inspections can be scheduled to suit your requirements. Our modern inspection facilities allow us to inspect all commercial vehicles and trailers to a high standard. Our vehicle inspection and testing facilities include:
- Roller Brake testers
- 5 x 70ft inspection pits
- On site Tachograph Calibration centre
- Headlight beam setter
- Josam Laser wheel alignment
- MAHA Heavy shaker plates
We will provide you with inspection reports, giving you an accurate and up-to-date record of vehicle condition.
Roller Brake Tester Equipment
At MK Truck Repairs we are able to test your brakes in line with current PSV testing requirements and provide a complete printout showing brake performance, imbalance and deceleration.
Diagnostic Computer Systems
We have fully portable advanced diagnostic equipment compatible with most vehicles. We can carry out EBS/ABS diagnostics. Our technicians are highly trained and can offer excellent diagnostic reporting and repair assistance. We can carry out fault reading and provide customers with detailed fault reports or where possible we can repair faults in our workshop.
